Source: Highlands Post, Post Courier, November 05 2011

THE Enga Provincial Government is strengthening its initiative to work closely with church institutions in the province.
Governor Peter Ipatas said his government was now focusing on working with all churches because they were based at the rural communities and would serve them in a better way.
Mr Ipatas said this after presenting a cheque of K40,000 to Sikiro Catholic Parish in the remote Ambum District of the province. The short and significant ceremony was held at the church premise last Sunday , witnessed by a large crowd, especially church goers.
He revealed that he was surprised to see an existing facility like the YC Hall, recreation centre and playing field built by the Catholic Mission in the early 1960’s that benefitted the people.
